Multiple URL Opener › Link Grabber
Link Grabber: extract all links from a page
Collect every link on the page you are viewing, filter the list, and copy it, open it or save it. No copying links one by one.
Part of the guide
How to grab links
- Go to the page that has the links.
- Right-click and choose Grab Links, or press Alt + G. The panel opens on the Extract tab with the list.
- Narrow it down with the filters below. Tick the links you want, or use Select all.
- Press Copy to Clipboard, Save as collection, or Open URLs.
The filters
Three things clean the list. The first two you control, the third is on by default.
- Include (keep only). Type words such as
docs, blog. Only links whose address contains one of them stay. - Exclude (remove). Type words such as
facebook google. Links whose address contains one of them go. - Smart junk filter. Hides login, sign-up, account, share and similar links, plus
javascript:links and anything with a#. It is a plain text match: a link with the wordshareanywhere in its address is hidden too. Untick it if something you want is missing.
Duplicates are removed for you, so the same address never appears twice.
What happens to the list
- Copy to Clipboard copies the ticked links, one address per line.
- Save as collection keeps the ticked links under a name, so you can reopen them later. You can keep up to 3 collections.
- Open URLs opens the ticked links, using your lazy loading, delay and random order settings. The arrow beside it opens them in a tab group or a new window.
- Clear empties the list.
Links that are not on a page
Have a note, an email or a text file instead of a web page? The same tab has a box where you paste text or drop a file, and Extract URLs lists every address in it. See URL extractor.
Good for
- Pulling every outbound link from a resource page or an article.
- Listing the links of a search results or directory page for a review.
- Building a list for the bulk opener without copying links one by one.
Limits
- It reads links in the page as it is loaded. Links a site adds later, as you scroll, are not there until they appear.
- It cannot run on Chrome system pages, extension pages or the Chrome Web Store.
- It has no drag-to-select. If you want that, see the comparison with drag-select tools.
Questions
How do I extract all links from a web page?
Right-click the page and choose Grab Links, or press Alt+G. The links appear in the extension's Extract tab, ready to filter, copy, open or save.
Which links does it grab?
Every link on the page that points to an http or https address. It does not collect images, scripts or addresses that are only written as text. To pull addresses out of text, use the paste box in the same tab.
What does the Smart junk filter remove?
It is on by default and hides links whose address contains: login, signup, sign-up, signin, sign-in, logout, log-out, account, share, wp-admin, javascript:, void(0) or a #. Untick it to see everything.
Does it remove duplicate links?
Yes, automatically. The same address is listed once, whatever the capital letters.
How do the Include and Exclude boxes work?
Type one or more words, separated by commas or spaces. A link stays if its address contains any Include word, and goes if its address contains any Exclude word. They match the address, not the link text.
What can I do with the grabbed links?
Tick the ones you want, then copy them to the clipboard, save them as a collection (up to 3 collections), or open them with the Open URLs button. The arrow next to it opens them in a tab group or a new window.
Does it work on every page?
Not on Chrome system pages such as chrome:// pages, extension pages and the Chrome Web Store. Chrome does not let extensions read them.
Does it read the pages I visit?
It reads the links of a page only when you ask it to, using Chrome's activeTab permission. Nothing is sent to a server.
